What we do
The Untravelist is a travel magazine, a small-group trip project and a travel design service for people who want to travel independently.
All three share the same approach: focus on research, direct relationships with the places we visit, and time. We are not a luxury operator, an adventure tourism company or a mass-tourism business.
We are a collective of travellers afraid of what travel can do to communities, environments and cultures, more interested in why and how we travel than where. Don't come to us if you have a bucket list to tick. We'll be happy to hear from you if you have already read ten guides about the same place and they all recommended the same six things, if you want to travel on your own terms and you would rather not spend your free time doing research, if you don't to travel alone and you do not want to end up on a bus with eleven strangers and a flag.
